Keewaydin Beach

Enjoy the Florida Lifestyle... at our own piece of paradise!

All Windstar on Naples Bay residents may enjoy a range of beach, nature and boating experiences without packing up the car and braving the highway system. During the season, residents can take a 30-minute journey on the Keewaydin Queen boat shuttle through the Rookery Bay Reserve to our private dock on Keewaydin Island. Rookery Bay Reserve is one of the few remaining undisturbed mangrove estuaries in North America. Common sights include schools of dolphins playfully swimming boat-side, Ospreys diving for food to feed themselves or their young, manatees navigating the waterways or the soaring flight of a bald eagle.

Upon arriving at the inland waterway side of Keewaydin Island, pull carts are at the dock to carry personal belongings to the screened picnic pavilion where chaise lounge chairs and umbrella shades are available for use on the Gulf beach where miles of beautiful ‘Robinson Crusoe’ - like beachfront extend to the north and south. Shelling, swimming, sunbathing, sand-castling, and of course beachcombing make each return visit a unique and special Windstar on Naples Bay experience.

The Gulf of Mexico is renowned for its magnificent sunsets. Sunset Cruises are offered Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from November—May. Members are captained around the bays of Port Royal and then south to where the Gordan Pass opens up out to the Gulf to witness one of Naples most beautiful and memorable experiences. For many members, the sunset cruise is repeated often during the season, and frequently followed by a BBQ with friends or a dinner overlooking Naples Bay back at the Windstar on Naples Bay Clubhouse.

The Keewaydin Shuttle is for Members and Residents of Windstar Only.
