Our NeighborsThe “On Naples Bay” neighborhood on Bayshore Drive in Naples has been undergoing a major transformation during the last few years. For many years real estate development has been concentrated to the north of Olde Naples. Developers now believe the best development opportunity is as close to Olde Naples as possible, which means to the south and particularly to the Naples Bay waterfront corridor because of its direct, bridge-free, boat access to Haldeman Creek, Naples Bay and the Gulf. Windstar On Naples Bay is at the center of this Naples Bay waterfront corridor.
Along this corridor, millions of dollars are being invested. First and most important is the 160-acre Naples Botanical Garden -- within two blocks of Windstar on Naples Bay. Its 50 million dollar Phase One will break ground in April 2008, and will include gardens by internationally-known designers, a childrens’ garden by the premier designer of these special gardens, and a research and classroom facility for FGCU. Other developments under plan or development include Arboretum Village with retail shops and 440 homes, Hamilton Harbor Yacht Club, and Treviso Bay Marina Club. These neighborhood investments are leading to new and trendy retail outlets and upscale homes within walking distance of Windstar On Naples Bay.
Olde Naples
Almost to a person, our closeness to Olde Naples played a major role in the decision to make Windstar On Naples Bay our community and our home. Being seven minutes by car and one mile by boat into Olde Naples gives us the best of Naples, living on the bay and a stone’s throw from some of country’s best shopping and dining.
