Stable Stance – A Posture Perfect Swing


When you think about it, the entire golf swing can take place in less than two seconds. You may not realize it, but in that split second of time, every muscle, ligament and tendon in your body is contributing to your swing. As you draw the club back, your body coils, the weight shifts to the inside rear foot until full flexibility is reached. Then the body starts unwinding while the weight is shifting forward with the arms swinging…. In other words a lot to coordinate and accomplish in such a short frame of time.


In order to give yourself the opportunity to accomplish the correct motion repetitively, stabilize your stance with proper posture at address. You should be well balanced on the balls of your feet with your hips, feet and shoulders parallel to the target line, bend at your waist towards the ball and slightly flex your knees. This should create a more athletic position creating better rhythm and balance in your swing. Give this a try and watch your range of motion increase your distance and accuracy.
